Juno Movie Review
Release Date: December 25, 2007 Rating: PG-13 - 3 1/2 STARS!
Director: Jason Reitman Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Cast: Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Allison Janney, Jason Bateman, J.K. Simmons,
Olivia Thirlby, Rainn Wilson, Daniel Clark, Darla Vandenbossche, Eileen Pedde, and more.
The soundtrack in the opening scenes is very annoying and lasts far to long in my opinion. Also,
I did not like the sketching scenes at the beginning of the movie. I felt like I was about to watch
a TV show and this was the opening credits, etc. Okay, enough of the nitpicking, on with the
review!
Juno is a film about growing up and the choices that we make and the consequences from them
both good and bad. At the young age of 16, the main character Juno, has been dealing with many
emotions over the break-up of her family at a young age and doesn't really trust relationships or
the longevity of them. She doesn't really know what type girl she is or what type person she wants
to become but soon her world takes a drastic turn and she must come up with the courage to be
a responsible person and do the right thing. Ellen Page, who plays the title character, delivers a
wonderful performance.
The take away from this movie experience for me is that sometimes the really hard trials in life are
the ones that make us the strongest and grow us the most as people. What sometimes can look
like a disaster for one, often is a miracle in disguise for someone else.
** WARNING: I would rate this as a movie that you need to be 16 or older to see. **

i assumed Juno was directed by the same guy that directed Knocked Up, because it's about unexpected pregnancy and Michael Cera stars as Juno's boyfriend, but alas this was not the case.
