We were looking to experience a new place and decided upon Mattito's Tex-Mex Cocina.  As you enter, you will take notice of the festive atmosphere.  Many entertainment venues surround this establishment which makes it nice to go on a walk-about and discover many Frisco attractions at your leisure.  While it was raining this Saturday evening, I could not enjoy the patio dining but perhaps in the future I will enjoy the view as I dine.  Mattito's menu is pulled together from family recipes throughout the years.

Our waitress was very friendly and offered us a complimentary Bob Armstrong when she found out that we had never been here before.  Now, if you're like me, you're wondering what she will bring out.  I was pleasantly surprised...a Bob Armstrong is a dip...a queso dip with cheese, meat, guacamole, and sour cream -- it was delish!!  I highly recommend it. (if you're not a fan of guacamole you'll still enjoy it as my companion did - he's not a guacamole fan at all!) 

While our waitress was nice, this was not the most attentive service we've experienced and the communication was lacking this night between the wait staff and the kitchen staff thus reflected in the order that was served.  Our table dined on the combination fajitas and the chicken enchiladas.  The chips were fine but the salsa lacked flavor.  A few pros to this place are that it is close to popular entertainment venues such as Pizza Hut Park for concerts and sporting events, the menu is well-priced, and you can enjoy casual dining, private parties, and banquets here. Overall, I would rate this as enjoyable but this was not an overly sensational dining choice. 

FYI:  Mattito's does get very busy on weekend nights so be prepared to wait and it may be hard to find a good parking space.
